ire g hopes to continue their winning ways when they meet Culloville at home on May 21st. ire g Ladies stole their second win of the season with a 3-12 to 2-6 win over Tullysaron. With a squad of 13 ire g dominated the first half with accurate shooting from Amy Mc Allister and Kathy Crangle. As ire gs confidence grew minor players Kirsty Trainor and Ciara DeCarteret held their own and pushed over some crucial scores. The second half saw Tullysaron come out more aggressive forcing the ire g defence to dig deep. Tullysaron struggled to get the ball past the midfield with determined tackling from Catriona Haddock and Laura Gillespie. In the final minutes ire gs perseverance and fitness denied their opponents of a final score.

Despite the dominance of Palatine, ire g were still in the game and when Cormac Mullins was fouled David Hickey signalled for a penalty. They would have time for one more chance to level the game but Palatine dealt with everything ire g threw at them to finish out the game and turn their attention towards their first county final in three years. Chris Blake got ire gs first score of the half on fifty minutes. Kearney saved Simon Reas shot but Rea reacted quickest and scooped the rebound over Kearney and into the net.
